Betway Esports is a leading sports betting platform for esports enthusiasts, offering sports betting opportunities across the world’s most popular competitive video games such as Counter Stirke, League of Legends, Dota 2 and more.
The Project
As the first esports hire at Betway we had to create a department from scratch around an industry first product (esports betting) within highly regulated markets globally.
The Objective
Launch an industry first betting product within highly regulated regions and localized markets and establish the brand as "the home of esports betting".
The Results
An industry first approach that created the world's first esports betting brand that established itself as #1 from 2016-2018 and third biggest product at Betway. This was achieved through pioneering the use of influencer, team and event sponsorship, content and social media within esports betting that produced:
- 400k followers
- 300m impressions
- 75m YouTube views
- 15m engagements
- 5% engagement rate
- 3rd biggest product at Betway
